About
Bobbi Daly is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). With a background as a registered nurse, neonatal nurse and midwife with over 20 years of clinical experience across Australia and Ireland, she brings a depth of knowledge that goes far beyond feeding alone.
Bobbi works with families across North Kerry and online, supporting mothers through every stage of their infant feeding journey - from antenatal preparation through to weaning. Her approach is thorough, evidence-based, and entirely tailored to you. No generic advice, no rushed appointments. Just expert, one-to-one support from someone who genuinely understands how much this matters.
Whether you're preparing for your first baby or working through a difficult start, Bobbi is here to help you feed with confidence.
Bobbi’s Story
Bobbi is originally from Melbourne, Australia, and has been living in Ireland for over twenty years. She trained as a general nurse and midwife before specialising in neonatal intensive care, working in busy NICU units in Melbourne and Brisbane. It was there — watching determined mothers expressing milk for their tiny premature babies, and seeing the difference it made — that her passion for lactation care took root.
She went on to work in general practice in both Australia and Ireland, delivering one-to-one antenatal breastfeeding education and postnatal consultations, before qualifying as an IBCLC and establishing her private practice.
Bobbi is also a mother of four. And despite her clinical background, she knows firsthand how overwhelming those early weeks can feel. Moving to Ireland with her first baby, far from family and with little local support, she experienced the anxiety and isolation that so many new mothers describe. It took time — and a steep learning curve — before things felt manageable.
That experience has never left her. It's why she listens carefully, why she never rushes, and why her clients find it easy to tell her what's really going on.
What it means to work with an IBCLC
Not all lactation support is equal. The IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) is the gold standard qualification in lactation and infant feeding care. It requires thousands of hours of clinical experience, rigorous examination, and ongoing professional development to maintain.
Combined with Bobbi's background in nursing, neonatal care, and midwifery, this means you're not getting general parenting advice or well-meaning guidance. You're getting a clinically trained specialist who can assess, diagnose, and support you with the full picture of your and your baby's health in mind.
Bobbi’s Approach
Every mother who comes to Bobbi arrives with a different story. Some are preparing carefully before their baby arrives. Some are exhausted, in pain, and have already tried everything they can think of. Some have had a difficult experience with feeding before and aren't sure they can do it this time.
Whatever brings you here, Bobbi's approach is the same: listen first, assess thoroughly, and give you honest, practical guidance that actually works for your life. Sessions are unhurried. There is no checklist to get through and no one-size-fits-all answer. The goal is always to give you the support and information you need to make the best decisions for you and your baby - whatever that looks like.

A note on private lactation support
Free lactation support is available through the HSE, and Bobbi is glad it exists. But public services are stretched, referrals take time, and appointments are often brief. For families who want to move quickly, go deeper, or simply have continuity with one trusted specialist from pregnancy through to weaning - private support makes a real difference.
Bobbi's clients choose her because they want expert, one-to-one care on their timeline, not a waiting list.
