This policy applies to all personal data collected through this website, through our booking system, and in the course of providing lactation and infant feeding consultations.

What information we collect

Information you provide directly When you make an enquiry or book a consultation, you may provide your name, email address, phone number, and any details you share about your situation or feeding journey.

Health and clinical information When you attend a consultation, Bobbi will collect relevant health information about you and your baby — including birth history, medical history, feeding history, and assessment findings. This information is necessary to provide safe, appropriate, and personalised care.

Booking information When you book through TidyCal, your name, email address, and appointment details are collected and stored by TidyCal. Please refer to TidyCal's own privacy policy for details of how they handle your data.

Website usage data Squarespace collects anonymised data about how visitors use this website — including pages visited, time spent on site, and general location. This data does not identify you personally and is used only to understand how the site is being used. No third-party analytics tools are in use.

How we use your information

We use your personal information to:

  • Respond to your enquiries and provide the support you have requested

  • Book and manage your appointments

  • Provide safe, clinically appropriate lactation and infant feeding care

  • Maintain accurate clinical records in line with our professional obligations as an IBCLC

  • Understand how our website is being used and improve it over time

We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not use it for marketing purposes.

The legal basis for processing your data

We process your personal data on the following legal bases under GDPR:

Contract - to fulfil the consultation services you have booked with us.

Legitimate interests - to respond to enquiries, manage our practice, and improve our website.

Legal obligation - to retain clinical records in line with our professional and regulatory obligations as an IBCLC.

Health data is processed on the basis of Article 9(2)(h) GDPR - processing necessary for the provision of health care and the management of health care systems.

How we store your information

Your clinical records are stored securely in practice management software. Access is restricted to Bobbi Daly only.

Booking data is stored by TidyCal on their secure servers.

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure.

How long we keep your information

Clinical records are retained for a minimum of eight years from the date of your last consultation, in line with Irish healthcare record retention guidelines. Records relating to children are retained until the child reaches the age of 25, or for eight years after the last consultation, whichever is longer.

Booking data is retained in line with TidyCal's data retention policy.

Enquiry data is retained for a reasonable period to allow us to follow up, and deleted thereafter if no consultation takes place.

Sharing your information

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Your data may be shared with the following third-party service providers solely for the purpose of delivering our services:

  • TidyCal - appointment booking and management

  • Squarespace - website hosting and analytics

With your explicit consent, and where it is in your clinical interest, Bobbi may communicate relevant information with other health professionals involved in your care - for example, your GP or public health nurse.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you

  • Correct any inaccurate or incomplete data

  • Request erasure of your personal data, subject to our legal obligations to retain clinical records

  • Object to or restrict the processing of your data in certain circumstances

  • Data portability - to receive your data in a structured, commonly used format

Complaints

If you have concerns about how your data is being handled, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission, the Irish supervisory authority for data protection matters.
